We made it to Paphos!
It was a LONG day of travel. All connections went smoothly (aside from a little excitement over one of our passports that didn’t want to scan at a security check point - involved being separated for a few nerve wracking moments).
The small flight from Rome to Paphos was an interesting chaotic scene. Tiny plane, lots of babies / packages / snacks from home / bags piled between legs. And during the flight, the crew sold not only food and drinks but also duty free cologne and makeup and scratch off lottery cards! We were expecting chickens next.
Arrived in Paphos in the dark. Tomorrow morning we start off by visiting the ancient harbor that existed at the time of Paul and Barnabas’s missionary journey through here. We will also see remains of the roman proconsul’s domus and the greeting hall which is likely where Sergius Paulus met with Paul and Barnabas!
We are excited to get going - but first sleep!.
