Biblical Travels
… all the residents of Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks.” Acts 19:10
We are so excited and grateful for the opportunity to travel in Saint Paul’s footsteps again in Asia Minor (Türkiye) and Greece! Especially fun this time is bringing our son Jacob on the adventure with us.
Our trip will begin with a day in Iznik (ancient Nicea) which is an hour or two southeast of Istanbul. In honor of the 1700th anniversary of the first council of Nicea and the Nicean Creed, we will visit the remains of the Roman city where Constantine convened the council. Then we will spend two days in Istanbul and from there on to many of the cities mentioned in the book of Acts, the island of Patmos where John wrote Revelation, and finally Corinth and Athens. We are excited to see some new places and to see different areas of sites we’ve visited in the past. In Istanbul we will finally see the Chora church - wait until you see those pictures, unbelievable Byzantine Christian mosaics and frescos still intact!
We will post some pictures and explanations each day so please follow along with us as we visit some awesome Biblical archeology sites! PB and Margery
