Mystery of huge Mansion!

Pensmore Mansion (Chateau Pensmore) is a massive 72,000-square-foot, five-story, château-style home located in the Ozark Mountains near Highlandville, Missouri. Developed by former CIA agent and physicist Steven Huff starting in 2008, it is designed to be an exceptionally durable, energy-efficient "fortress" resistant to tornadoes, earthquakes, and blasts, intended to last for centuries.

With 72,000+ square feet, it is one of the largest homes in the United States, featuring 13 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, and 32-foot high ceilings in the great room. Built using specialized steel-reinforced concrete (Helix technology), the exterior walls are 12 inches thick.

It serves as a laboratory for sustainable and disaster-resilient construction, incorporating alternative energy sources like geothermal and solar, as well as water harvesting. The project began in 2008 and has seen extensive construction and litigation (related to materials) over the years, with development ongoing as of 2026.

Situated on a large, private, and secured estate in the Missouri Ozarks. The structure is intended to serve as a model for future, sustainable building techniques and is designed for extreme endurance
